Some Updates

September 26th, 2007 at 02:12 pm

Sadly, the curtains had to go back to Walmart. Our comforter apparently is NOT burgundy. It is more of a burnt orange/red color. So, burgundy curtains are definitely out. I'm going to have to find gold.

Good news though! I'm adding $90 to my Adobe fund! It's the money I got for my birthday!

Adobe Fund
Previous Total: $10
New Total: $100

I'm getting closer!!

Did you know you get a sizable discount on adobe software as a student? I know my husband wants to get some software and is saving up. I will have to ask him for the link/info if you would like.

I used to have a friend working there and we could get ANY
THING for $20. Was unreal. We saved thousands. My dh uses it so much for his video work. I thought he was going to get a really expensive package for just a few hundred though with student discount. It's no $20, but beats full price by a mile. Big Grin

I plan on buying it from AcademicSuperstore.com. It's $600 for the package I want. $600 seems like a lot, but it is a third of the retail price. So, that is a deep discount. I'm starting to save up now, because I have to buy the software before I graduate in May.

If your husband knows of any other sites, I'd love to hear about them!

I actually just did a google search and I found it $10 cheaper at Gradware.com. I'll have to compare s&h costs. But, it might be a better deal. Plus, at Gradware, you get Pluspoints for your purchases. These can be redeemed for free shipping or free software.

Yes, Adobe sells it directly like 1/2 price to students, and then some stores also sell it.

Here's Adobe's link but not sure it's the best deal. Sounds like you already found better deals. Just wanted to share the tip if you hadn't thought of it. I know the suite my dh wants retails around $2k. IT's nice to find a more affordable option.

I didn't realize they sell direct. That is really good to know!

Their prices aren't too much higher than the other sites. Only about $5-10 more. Not too bad. Plus, you can download the software right from their site. No shipping!
